Welcome to the MIC!
Located next to the Miami International Airport, the Miami Intermodal Center is a massive ground transportation hub being developed by the Florida Department of Transportation.
The MIC Program consists of several components: major roadway improvements completed in May 2008, the Rental Car Center which opened for business on July 13, 2010, and the MIA Mover which became operational on September 9, 2011. Additionally, the Miami Central Station is currently under construction and scheduled to be completed by 2013, and Joint Development is currently being explored.
It will provide connectivity where none existed, between the transportation systems in Palm Beach County, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and the Florida Keys, for residents and visitors. It is already decongesting the roadways in and around the busy airport.
We designed this site as a resource to answer your questions and keep you up-to-date on the most recent activities and information regarding the MIC Program. Take a moment to explore the site, sign up to receive information and feel free to contact us with your questions and/or comments.
