Metrorail

Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) has begun construction on the Metrorail's Extension of the existing Earlington Heights to the MIC, known as the AirportLink.

The Metrorail's AirportLink Extension stretches 2.4 miles, extending from the existing Earlington Heights Station at NW 22nd Avenue and NW 41st Street to the MIC Station at the Miami Intermodal Center's Miami Central Station.

Metrorail is Miami-Dade County's heavy-rail transportation system linking Kendall through South Miami, Coral Gables, and downtown Miami; to the Civic Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital area; and to Brownsville, Liberty City, Hialeah, and Medley in northwest Miami-Dade, with connections to Broward and Palm Beach counties at the Tri-Rail/Metrorail Transfer Station. The elevated rail line stretches 22 miles with 22 stations along its way.
