Projects: Miami Central Station

Tri-Rail

www.tri-rail.com

Tri-Rail is a regional heavy-rail transportation system linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, Florida. The rail line stretches 72 miles and has 18 stations, from the Magnolia Park Station in West Palm Beach to the Miami Airport Station, next to Miami International Airport. Tri-Rail connects to Palm Tran, Broward County Transit and Miami-Dade Transit.

Tri-Rail is not only an alternative to driving on Interstate 95, it also provides service to all three of South Florida's international airports. Miami International Airport, Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and Palm Beach International Airport. Tri-Rail has also become a favorite mode of transportation for those traveling to South Florida's major events and attractions.

The existing Tri-Rail tracks will remain at the Miami Central Station and serve to define the rail depot area. Tri-Rail is operated by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority.
